Sprinkles the Dog on Three-Week Adventure Found in Worcester

Sprinkles was running around the I-290, Lincoln Street area. When multiple people called, they caught the dog, and found her family.

WORCESTER, MA — She slipped out of her collar, and was on the run for about three weeks, her new family heartbroken and hoping to find her. Sprinkles made her way to the I-290, Lincoln and Burncoat Street area of Worcester, with multiple motorists, golfers and neighbors calling about sightings.

For weeks, Massachusetts State Police looked for the dog, even putting up cameras, and ultimately put out a trap for her. It worked, and Troopers Chris Olander and John Sprague retrieved her and brought her back to the State Police Holden Barracks.

The dog, who had been adopted by a couple in West Boylston from Dog Orphans, was a rescue animal from the south. They had just brought her home when she slipped from her collar, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. The two-year old beagle mix had a good number of people looking for her, including golfers who left her food. She's now spending much of her time hanging out on the couch.
