Summer Jam Classic Returns For Its 10th Year In Worcester

The event features high-level basketball competition alongside community programming, local vendors, entertainment and giveaways.

WORCESTER, MA — The 10th Annual Summer Jam Classic is returning to Worcester this summer, bringing together athletes, families, local organizations and community leaders.

The Summer Jam Classic, hosted by Bosa Sports & Community, has become a Worcester staple over the past decade, blending basketball, mentorship, entertainment, and community engagement. The event will take place Aug. 8 at Crompton Park in Worcester.

The free community-based event features an Elite Basketball Showcase featuring over 60 players from the Colleges, Professional ranks and high school students.

The initiative was created to fill a void in the city, according to organizers. Summer Jam Classic focuses on empowering youth, strengthening community connections, and creating opportunities and resources for families throughout Worcester and surrounding communities.

This year’s event will feature high-level basketball competition alongside community programming, local vendors, entertainment, giveaways, and opportunities for businesses and organizations to engage directly with attendees. Organizers expect another strong turnout as the event marks its milestone 10th anniversary.

“Summer Jam Classic has always been about more than basketball,” organizers from Bosa Sports & Community said in a statement. “It’s about bringing people together, creating positive experiences for our youth, and showing the power of community when we invest in each other.”

Over the years, Bosa Sports & Community has expanded its impact through initiatives centered on mentorship, wellness, community outreach, and additional events, including Fall Jam Classic, Dunking Cancer and other programs held throughout the year.
