Tanker Hauling Liquid Nitrogen Crashes In Auburn
One person was hospitalized Sunday afternoon following the collision along Route 12.
AUBURN, MA — Route 12 was shut down in Auburn Sunday evening following a collision between a tanker hauling liquid nitrogen and a minivan, according to public safety officials.
The collision was reported near 3 p.m. Sunday near Water Street, which is close to on and off-ramps to I-290 and the Mass Pike. One person was taken to a local hospital following the crash.
Neither the tanker nor the van were able to be driven from the scene, according to Auburn Chief Andrew Sluckis.
