WATCH: Goat Tours Town, Looks For Room At La Quinta Hotel
A goat made its way around neighborhoods in Auburn, MA, on Friday, the trip ending when it wandered into the lobby of the La Quinta hotel
AUBURN, MA—Even a goat gets tired of running, it seems. After escaping early morning on Friday, wandering through several neighborhoods, a school, and near an exit to I-290, its trip ended upon sauntering in to a La Quinta Hotel lobby and down its hallway.
Perhaps the animal was looking for a room, but hadn't checked in and gotten a key, and employees likely assumed that it was possibly the missing goat and called police.
As part of its weekend tour, Auburn police said it was spotted on Jade Hill Road, Montclair Drive, Route 20 near Cube Smart storage, then Bryn Mawr Ave., Jerome Ave. near Hampton Street and then on Oxford Street North during the day and evening shifts on Saturday. On Sunday, the goat was spotted near exit 9 on or off Route 290. The goat then hit Swanson Road School around 10 a.m., and by 4:30 a.m., was likely feeling exhausted and sauntered into La Quinta Hotel on Southbridge Street.
