WATCH: Police Pummel Worcester Suspect to End Chase; NH Attorney General to Investigate

The Massachusetts State Police will conduct a review of the arrest. A video shows cops repeatedly punching the suspect.

NASHUA, NH — An hours-long, high-speed police chase through two states ended in Nashua Wednesday night with the violent arrest of the suspect.

Videos show Richard Simone, 50, of Worcester, MA, stepping out of his truck on Hutchinson Street, a residential part of the city—about two hours after the chase started. Simone appears to surrender and sink down to the ground; an officer charges the suspect and throws a punch. Another officer throws more punches as Simone is wrestled to the ground.

It was not immediately clear which law enforcement agencies the two officers seen on the video belong to. A Massachusetts State Police spokesman said the department will conduct a review of the arrest. "The video captured by news helicopters shows a use of force against the suspect," said Dave Procopio in a statement. "That review will investigate whether the level of force used was appropriate given the totality of the circumstances." New Hampshire authorities also launched an investigation, according to WMUR.

The chase started an hour away in Holden, MA. Simone, who has multiple warrants, failed to stop for officers and headed to Lancaster, Procopio said.

The chase then went north of the Massachusetts border to Hudson, NH.

Hudson police said Simone struck a utility pole on School Street but was able to continue on before stopping in Nashua at about 5:30 p.m.
