Water Main Break Shuts Off Water To About 100 Worcester Homes

A water main break near the Holden town line will leave about Worcester homes without water Tuesday afternoon.

WORCESTER, MA — A water main break near the Holden town line will leave about 100 Worcester homes without water Tuesday afternoon.

The break happened on West Mountain Street, where the Department of Public Works was shutting off the water main as of 2:47 p.m. Tuesday, according to a city public service announcement.

The shutoff will affect a section of West Mountain Street and several nearby side streets, including Maravista Road, Wendover Road, Maranook Road and Lanesboro Road.

Water will remain shut off until repairs are complete. The city estimated the work would take about eight hours.
