Worcester Restaurant Opens After Vehicle Crashes Into Building: Report

The vehicle struck the left side of La Scala Ristorante early Monday, causing structural damage.

WORCESTER, MA — A vehicle crashed into a Worcester restaurant early Monday morning, according to police and multiple reports.

Worcester police confirmed to Patch that the crash happened at La Scala Ristorante, 183 Shrewsbury St., at about 1:20 a.m. Monday.

The vehicle struck the left side of the building, knocking out a large section of the structure, the Telegram & Gazette reported. No injuries were reported, according to the news outlet.

Despite the damage, La Scala said it planned to reopen Tuesday.

In a social media post Monday afternoon, the restaurant wrote, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out. We plan on being open tomorrow and will keep everyone updated."
