The town's new acting police chief was announced in a ceremonial swearing-in at a Select Board meeting on Jan. 20. Mark Hebert was installed as Acting Police Chief by Assistant Town Clerk Terry Mansfield.
"I've had the opportunity to work with Lt. Hebert for the last three years," said Mansfield at the meeting. "I have the utmost confidence that for the next few months, he'll be able to navigate the challenges that we're facing and continue the tradition of community policing that was started by Chief Burman."
