Webster Teen Hit By Police Cruiser in Hospital

A man who was lying on his back in a parking lot was struck by a cruiser as police responded to a fight on Sunday.

WEBSTER, MA—A man is still hospitalized after being hit by a police cruiser on Sunday night, said Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Jai Hylton, 18, of 10 Prospect St. was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

Sgt. Thomas Ralph responded to a report of a fight between two men at 10 Prospect St. at about 10:30 p.m. Sgt. Ralph pulled into the lot off Prospect Street and continued toward the rear. As the lot took a sharp right, Ralph's cruiser hit Hylton, who was lying on his back in the parking lot, said DA Early.

The State Police Detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
