WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have arrested and charged a Westborough man following a fatal shooting Wednesday.

Worcester police found a man with a gunshot wound at the 101 Highland St. Honey Farms at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the department. The 31-year-old was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police arrested Samuel Peckham, 28, at the scene. He was charged with assault and battery with a gun and armed assault to murder.

Peckham pleaded not guilty at a court appearance Wednesday in Worcester, according to the court clerk, and his next court date is Jan. 10.
