Woman Dies In Mass Pike Crash
Her vehicle bounced off a guardrail and into a tractor trailer before ejecting her, police said.
PALMER, MA — A 52-year-old Warren woman died when she thrown from her car after it struck a guardrail on the Mass Pike and bounced into a tractor trailer Thursday afternoon, police said.
The crash occurred around 1:10 p.m., when police say the woman's 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling at a high speed eastbound. It entered the breakdown lane, struck the guardrail, and bounced into the side of a tractor trailer. The Trailblazer rolled over and ejected the woman, with the vehicle coming to a stop on its roof in the middle of the lanes.
The woman was transported to Wing Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

All eastbound lanes were closed for 45 minutes, and two travel lanes were closed for 6 1/2 hours.
The crash is being investigated.
