Woman Fatally Stabbed At Worcester Restaurant

Police said a New Hampshire man the victim used to date walked into O'Connor's Restaurant and stabbed her.

WORCESTER, MA — A 31-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night at a Worcester restaurant when a man she used to date walked in and stabbed her, police said. Carlos Asencio, 28, of Derry, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with the woman's murder.

Police said Asencio walked into O'Connor's Restaurant shortly before 8 p.m. and stabbed the woman. A customer suffered a stab wound when he tried to intervene, police said. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said. Police arrived to find Asencio being held down by several customers.

The woman, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead the hospital.

Asencio was charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. Police said he also had a warrant.
