Woman Hit While Crossing Belmont Street Suffers Head, Hip Injury
A reconstruction team is investigating a crash involving a car and pedestrian on Sunday evening.

WORCESTER, MA — A woman crossing the street in Worcester was hit by a car on Sunday, sending her to the hospital with head and hip injuries.
On Sunday, Dec. 4, around 5:38 p.m., Worcester police were called to a pedestrian and motor vehicle accident in the area of 177 Belmont St. Worcester EMS and firefighters tended to a 54-year-old woman who was suffering from a head injury and hip fracture. She was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
The pedestrian, said investigators, was trying to cross Belmont Street, headed south, and a car headed east on Belmont stopped and allowed her to cross. The pedestrian made it half way when in the westbound lane she was hit by a 2014 Toyota Camry.

A 19-year-old female from Worcester, the driver of the Toyota, stayed at the scene.
