Worcester Animal Rescue League In Need Of Donations Amid Severe Winter Weather

The organization said its roof needed unexpected, urgent repairs on Saturday.

WORCESTER, MA — An animal shelter in Worcester is asking for help amid severe winter weather in Massachusetts.

Worcester Animal Rescue League asked the community for help supporting the animals at the shelter at 139 Holden St. The organization, which provides adoption, clinics, and pet food services to the community, said its roof needed unexpected, urgent repairs on Saturday.

The shelter is closed on Monday due to a massive snowstorm hitting New England. WARL said adoption hours would be affected on Sunday and Monday.

The winter storm warning remains in effect from 7 a.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday. In Worcester, cold temperatures with wind chills as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, along with heavy snowfall of 18 to 25 inches, are expected.
