Worcester Arrest Uncovers Stolen Rifle

A stolen rifle was recovered during an arrest for several outstanding warrants.

WORCESTER, MA — A stolen rifle was located during an arrest for several outstanding warrants earlier this week in Worcester.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, around 6:30 a.m., Worcester police assigned to the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force along with members of the Massachusetts State Police VFAS went to an Upland Gardens address to find Peter Daylue, 19, and arrest him on several outstanding warrants.

A resident of the place let police in, and they located Daylue asleep in a bedroom. During the arrest, officers spotted what looked like a rifle with a wooden stock that was leaning against the wall in the bedroom. Looking closer at the Ruger 10-22 rifle, officers checked the serial number, ran it, and found that it had been stolen from a Worcester residence earlier this year. Daylue also did not possess an FID or a License to Carry.

In addition to the warrant charges, Daylue is being charged with Possession of a Firearm w/out an FID and Receiving Stolen Property over $250.
