WORCESTER, MA — The College of the Holy Cross campus was evacuated Wednesday afternoon following a bomb threat.

The evacuation occurred around 1 p.m. Local and state police along with firefighters responded to the call.

The college declared the campus safe at around 3 p.m.

"Law enforcement has completed a sweep of the targeted buildings and no suspicious packages or hazards were found," the college tweeted. "Public Safety has issued an all clear for campus. The College is returning to normal operations, effectively immediately."
