Worcester DPW Workers Honored At Red Sox Game For Saving Toddler
The workers lifted a car that had flipped on top of a toddler in a stroller and hit her grandmother.

BOSTON, MA — Worcester DPW workers were honored at Monday night's Red Sox game for their part in saving a toddler and her grandmother who had been hit and trapped under a car last month. The workers lifted the car that trapped the toddler and freed her. The toddler and woman were hit at a crosswalk on Chandler Street.
The crash happened on May 8. DPW workers were driving behind the car that hit the woman and child and told the Telegram Gazette that the driver was "flying" and as soon as they heard the toddler crying they jumped into action.
Five of the seven workers attended the game and were called on the field in Fenway park to be honored by the team and a sea of applauding fans.
