Worcester Ending Free Electric Vehicle Charging: Report
Worcester is set to end its free electric vehicle charging sometime next month.

WORCESTER, MA - According to a report from the Telegram & Gazette, the days of free electric vehicle charging stations in Worcester are coming to an end.
John Odell, the city's chief sustainability officer, told the Telegram that sometime next month motorists will have to start paying to use the stations.
There are 30 city-owned charging stations. Most of them are in parking garages, an the stations had been free of charge to encourage more consumers to buy electric vehicles.
Odell said that while the cot hasn't been finalized, it may be 30 cents per kilowatt hour.
