Worcester Gang Members Arrested At Leominster Mall: State Police

LEOMINSTER, MA — State police this week arrested two men they say are members of a Worcester street gang operating in the Vernon Hill area.

On Tuesday afternoon, state and local police arrested Stephon Jones, 33, of Fitchburg, at the Whitney Field Mall in Leominster. Police say they found Jones carrying cash and a small amount of heroin.

Shortly after, troopers saw another suspected member of the Providence Street Posse gang outside the mall with a woman who appeared to be trying to hide a jacket. The troopers questioned Benjamin Rosado, 23, of Leominster, Lucia Cardozo, 25, of Gardner. The officers searched the jacket and found a pistol, police said.

Rosado and Cardozo were arrested on gun law violations. Jones was arrested for possession of a class A drug and drug distribution.
