Worcester Issues Parking Ban Ahead Of Snowstorm
Up to 4 inches of snow could fall in Worcester beginning Tuesday morning at 2 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

WORCESTER, MA — Ahead of a snowstorm expected to drop up to 4 inches on Worcester, city officials have issued an emergency parking ban. The ban goes into effect Monday at 10 p.m. and lasts until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
During the ban, parking is prohibited on both sides of arterial roads, along bus routes, and in the downtown area. In other parts of Worcester, parking is only allowed on the odd number side of the street.
Parking enforcement will be ticketing and towing drivers who disobey the ban. There will be free parking in all city garages for the duration of the ban.
The snowstorm is not expected to be major, but it could seriously disrupt the Tuesday morning commute.
According to the latest National Weather Service forecast, snow will begin falling in Worcester by 2 a.m. Tuesday. The weather service is predicting 3 to 4 inches in the city by the end of the day, plus possible icing in areas south of Worcester.
