WORCESTER, MA — A 28-year-old Worcester man was one of 53 people arrested after an anti-police brutality demonstration in Boston Sunday night, according to police. Cody Dinoi was charged with breaking and entering a building at nighttime, a felony.

The arrests came after a peaceful demonstration devolved into a near-riot. Some people were seen looting businesses in the downtown Boston area, and multiple police vehicles were damaged — including one that was set on fire.

Cities across the U.S. have seen large demonstrations against police brutality over the last week following the May 25 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd died after a police officer knelt on his neck for almost 9 minutes.
