Worcester Man Indicted in 2014 Fatal Shooting
A Worcester man was indicted on Tuesday in the shooting death of a 19-year-old two years ago.

WORCESTER — A Worcester man was indicted on Tuesday morning for allegedly shooting 19-year-old Christian Obeng, also from Worcester, in 2014.
District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said that Fathi Jaara, 23, of 15 Fern St., had previously been charged as an accessory to the shooting along with his brother, Ahmad, but was indicted Tuesday on one count of murder.
Jaara will be arraigned in Superior Court at a date to be determined.

The murder occurred on Oct. 2, 2014, when shortly before 5:30 p.m., Worcester police responded to reports of gunshots at the Upland Garden apartment complex. Police found Obeng lying on the floor, suffering from serious wounds, and also a 26-year-old male who had been shot.
Obeng died from his wounds the next day.

Initially, Jaara and Ahmad were arraigned on accessory after the fact charges, reported MassLive.
Dominic Bonneville of Worcester has also been charged with the murder. He is being held without bail while awaiting trial scheduled for June.
