Worcester Police Respond To 2 Gun Incidents Monday
Worcester police made one arrest Monday night after a man brandished a gun. In Main South, gunfire damaged property.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police responded to two separate gun incidents on Monday night, with one resulting in an arrest.
Just before 7 p.m., Kristo Nestiano, 19, of Worcester, brandished a gun at two people along Fiske Street in the Newton Square area, police said. Police arrested Nestiano nearby after pulling over a car that also contained about a pound of suspected marijuana and cash, police said.
Nestiano was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of ammunition, and possession of drugs with intent to distribute, police said.
And at around 8 p.m., gunfire broke out in the Main South area south of the Clark University campus. Several cars and buildings were damaged along Clement and Beaver streets, but there were no injuries reported. Police did not immediately make any arrests in connection to the gunfire.
