WORCESTER, MA — The heat continues, with a possible record-breaking day on Sunday.

A heat advisory will blanket the region on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures remaining in the 90s. Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend, with the heat index near 100 degrees.

It'll also be a very sunny weekend with no rain relief in sight until very early Monday morning.

If you're looking for a place to cool down in Worcester this weekend, city officials are advising residents to go to library branches — although no libraries are open on Sunday, which is predicted to be the hottest day of the weekend — or a local swimming area.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 94. West wind 3 to 8 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 95. Southwest wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers before 4am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 4am and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
