Worcester Woman Dies In Mass Pike Collision In Framingham
The 29-year-old woman collided with the rear of a tractor trail early Friday morning.
WORCESTER, MA — State police have identified the victim in a fatal Friday morning Mass Pike collision as a 29-year-old Worcester woman.
According to police, the woman rear-ended a tractor trailer in the westbound lanes near Grove Street just after 2:30 a.m. State police said the woman may have been speeding in the moments before the crash.
"When Troopers arrived on scene they discovered a 2020 Mini Cooper, operated by a 29-year-old Worcester woman, had struck the trailer being pulled by the truck," state police said in a news release. "The woman was determined to be deceased on scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle."

The incident shut down the left and middle lanes of I-90 until around 7 a.m., police said. The exact cause of the crash was still under investigation as of 10 a.m. Friday.
