Worcester Youth Can Get A Discount On Public Transportation

The city is teaming up with the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to create a youth pass program.

WORCESTER, MA — Youth in the city are going to be able to travel farther for less, thanks to a new program. The Worcester Youth Pass Program, also known as "W" will allow unlimited rides to registered participants.

The city teamed up with the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to develop the program. It will run during the summer of 2019 with a 10-weeks pass starting June 10 until August 16. The pass is valid Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.mm for ages 9 to 24.

The Division of Youth Opportunities will be managing this initiative and will work with the WRTA on this transportation program.
