Worcester's Free Summer Camp Begins At 'Whole Kids' Event
Local families can head to the Worcester Common Sunday to sign up for Recreation Worcester and more.

WORCESTER, MA — Summer camp season in Worcester will begin this weekend with an all-ages festival.
The Whole Kids event will feature music, games, an ice cream truck and arts-and-crafts activities. There will also be local agencies on hand signing up kids for a variety of local summer programs.
Also at the event, parents will be able to sign kids up to participate in Recreation Worcester, the city's free summer camp program. The six-week Recreation Worcester camp starts July 11 and is open to kids age 7 to 13. During the program, campers participate in sports, learning and arts activities at six parks across Worcester.
The last day of school in Worcester for non-seniors is June 13.
Whole Kids was planned for Saturday, but will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Worcester Common behind city hall due to predicted rain.
