⢠Yarmouth police arrest 64-year-old accused of residential break-in (shrewsburypost.com) ā Yarmouth police arrested a 64-year-old local man after he was allegedly found inside a South Yarmouth home and then fled toward the South Shore Drive beach area. Officers later located him near South Middle Beach, where he was taken into custody and charged in connection with this and other admitted residential break-ins, along with several outstanding warrants.

⢠Press Release Healey-Driscoll Administration Celebrates More Than $26 Million in Federal Grants for Transportation Improvements (mass.gov) ā Yarmouth is set to receive a major boost for Route 28, with a $25 million federal grant to improve nearly three miles of the corridor between Yarmouth and Barnstable. The project aims to fix high-crash locations, ease congestion, and make walking and accessibility safer along this key Cape Cod route, following strong advocacy from state, local, and regional partners.

⢠February storm review highlights weaknesses in Cape's emergency response (capeandislands.org) ā During Februaryās blizzard, Yarmouth played a key role by opening its own shelter at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School after a county shelter generator failed, earning praise for how well it was run. A new county emergency management director has since outlined serious gaps in medical staffing, shelter agreements, and planning, and is now working under a newly created county department to strengthen Cape-wide disaster readiness.
