1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Head-On Crash In Southeast MI: Police

Police believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

LENAWEE COUNTY, MI — A man was killed and two other people were injured in a Wednesday night head-on crash in Lenawee County, according to Michigan State Police.

Police said a blue Jeep Wrangler was moving south on the Tecumseh-Clinton Highway, near Allen Road in Clinton Township (Lenawee County), where it struck an oncoming a silver GMC Terrian at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The 72-year-old Clinton Township man driving the GMC was killed in the crash, according to police.

His passenger, a 75-year-old Clinton Township woman, was flown to University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor in critical condition, according to police.

The 38-year-old Tecumseh woman, who was driving the Jeep, was also taken to University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor with minor injuries, according to police.

The woman is cooperating with investigators.

The roadway was shut down near Allen Road for several hours while troopers investigated the crash.
