Police said a driver was "not paying attention" as traffic slowed down near a construction zone along Interstate 96 just west of Lansing.

CLINTON COUNTY, MI — One person was killed and multiple others were hurt in a Wednesday crash on Interstate 96 in Clinton County, according to Michigan State Police.

"What we’re asking is to be careful out there. When you’re in those construction zones, you got to pay attention. Slow down and look far down the road to pay attention to what’s going on," Gonzalez said.
Police were still investigating the crash.
