The latest round of closures comes after the pharmacy's chain's main lenders demanded a $20 million payout to company CEO Jeffrey Stein before funding the company’s exit from bankruptcy, according to a Bloomberg news report.
The struggling drugstore chain filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in October 2023, and said it planned to close 150 stores, including 19 in Michigan.
