17 MI Hospitals Among Best In U.S., New Ranking Says

MICHIGAN — Seventeen hospitals in Michigan are among the best in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals ranking released Tuesday.

For its 35th annual report, U.S. News evaluated more than 5,000 hospitals based on their performance across 30 medical and surgical services. In Michigan, the top-ranked hospitals are:

There's a tie for first place

3. Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals-Blodgett and Butterworth
4. Henry Ford Hospital
5. Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital
6. Munson Medical Center
7. Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital
8. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital
9. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital
10. (Tie) Ascension Genesys Hospital and Ascension Providence Hospital-Southfield
12. Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital
13. Bronson Methodist Hospital
14. Trinity Health Oakland Hospital
15. Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals
16. Ascension St. John Hospital
17. Trinity Health Muskegon

These hospitals are among the top 466 Best Regional Hospitals in the country, according to U.S. News.

For the first time this year, U.S. News also identified 98 hospitals across the country for their success in caring for patients from historically underserved communities. In Michigan, the following hospitals were recognized:
