4 Inches Of Snow Possible In Upcoming Snowstorm: MI Weather

SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN — Winter isn't over just yet as a round of heavy snow showers is expected to roll into southeastern Michigan on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect the snow to move into across southeastern Michigan sometime before daybreak and stick around for most of the day Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas north of the Interstate 69 corridor will see the heaviest snowfall with accumulations up to 4 inches of fresh snow by the end of Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas in the metro Detroit region will see slightly less snow, though accumulations can quickly add up to 2 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Any Friday snowfall accumulations in the metro Detroit area shouldn't stick around for too long as highs will reach 40 degrees by the afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday's high temperatures will be slightly cooler in areas farther north around the Interstate 69 corridor, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered snow showers were making their way through southeastern Michigan Wednesday morning, though little to no accumulations were likely in most of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures across southeastern Michigan will stay cold for the rest of this week and through the weekend before highs climb back into the 50s to start next week, according to the National Weather Service.
