This Is The Best Hole-In-The-Wall Pizza Joint In Michigan

Those who enjoy pizza that resembles a scratch-made recipe may want to head to the Detroit area for their next slice, according to a new list.

The Takeout, a popular food-focused website, said they wanted to find the smaller, mom-and-pop-type pizza shops that deliver perfection with every slice.

"It's these tiny havens that are the hidden gems serving up each state's most priceless pizza slices daily," Andy Beth Miller of The Takeout wrote.

Loui's Pizza in Hazel Park was picked by the website as the best hole-in-the-wall pizza joint in Michigan.

The pizzeria is best known for their Detroit-style pies, which they have been serving up for nearly half a century.

"Customers clamor for these satisfying slices, especially thanks to the coveted crispy corner edges and that satisfying chew through the middle," Miller wrote.
