Isolated Storms Possible Tuesday: MI Weather

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — More scattered thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will bring even more thunderstorms to the region Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The isolated thunderstorms are expected to pop up across southeastern Michigan during the afternoon hours Tuesday when high temperatures reach the mid 80s, according to the weather service.

The best chances for storms Tuesday will be along the lakeshores of the Thumb region, according to the weather service.

Forecasters do not expect any strong storms or severe weather Tuesday.

A sweeping cold front will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to southeastern Michigan Wednesday, according to the weather service.

Forecasters warned some of those storms can produce heavy downpours in the afternoon hours.

Dry weather returns to the southeastern Michigan region Thursday and sticks around through the weekend before high temperatures start climbing toward the 90s early next week, according to the weather service.
