Here's a look at the weather Michiganders can expect this holiday weekend across the state.
MICHIGAN — Michiganders can expect a warm and sunny holiday weekend across the state, according to the National Weather Service.
After fluctuating temperatures this week that prompted frost warnings in some areas, most of Michigan will see temperatures climb toward 80 degrees under sunny skies this weekend, the weather service said.
The weather will be especially pleasant in northern Michigan, with temperatures hovering in the mid-70s before reaching the 80s on Memorial Day, the weather service said.

Temperatures in the Upper Peninsula will stay a touch cooler, with highs staying in the 70s under sunny skies, which is a rarity considering how often it rains this time of the year in all of northern Michigan, the weather service said.
Southeastern Michigan should also see comfortable weather this weekend with highs reaching the 80s before climbing up to the mid-80s on Memorial Day, the weather service said. Forecasters do not expect rain anywhere in the lower half of the peninsula.

Forecasters also don't expect any windy conditions across the state this weekend, as wind gusts should remain below 10 miles per hour, the weather service said.
Any travelers planning to spend time camping in northern Michigan should check to see if campfires are being allowed, since it's very dry up north and there's no rain expected for a while.
