Gas prices across Michigan dropped a few cents Monday morning from their 2024 high that set over the weekend, according to AAA.

MICHIGAN — Gas prices across Michigan dropped a few cents Monday morning from their 2024 high that set over the weekend, according to AAA.
The average price for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan was $3.77 Monday, slightly down from this year's record high of $3.81 that was set on Friday, according to AAA.
The new price is seven cents more than this time last month and ten cents above a year ago, according to AAA.

Michigan drivers paid an average of $56 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline Monday morning, according to AAA.
"Michigan drivers are seeing much higher prices at the pump as the state average set a new 2024-high on Friday," AAA Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. "Refinery issues in Joliet, Illinois, alongside higher gasoline demand, have led to an increase in gas prices across the upper Midwest."

In metro Detroit, the average price for a regular gallon of gas was $3.70, up four cents from last week and ten cents from last month, according to AAA.
The most expensive places to get gas Monday were in Jackson ($3.89), Grand Rapids ($3.88) and Lansing ($3.87), according to AAA.
The cheapest places to get gas Monday were in Marquette ($3.48), Metro Detroit ($3.70) and Traverse City ($3.75), according to AAA.
