MI Gas Prices Fall Ahead Of Memorial Day: AAA
Road trips could approach record highs this Memorial Day weekend, as AAA predicts roughly 1.2 million Michiganders may hit the roads.
MICHIGAN — Gas prices across Michigan fell Monday morning, according to AAA.
Michigan drivers paid $3.55 Monday for a regular gas of gas, nine cents cheaper than last week and five cents cheaper than a month ago, according to AAA.
Michigan drivers paid an average of $53 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.

Gas prices in the metro Detroit area were only down one cent from last week and two cents from a month ago, according to AAA.
"While gas prices in Michigan are down to start the week, this trend will probably reverse," said Adrienne Woodland, AAA's spokesperson. "With an increase in demand from the rush of drivers filling up for Memorial Day, pump prices will likely increase ahead of the holiday weekend."

The most expensive places to get gas in Michigan were in Jackson ($3.66), Ann Arbor ($3.62) and Metro Detroit ($3.58).
The cheapest places to get gas in Michigan were in Benton Harbor ($3.44), Grand Rapids ($3.49) and Flint ($3.52).
