MI Gas Prices Jump 11 Cents: AAA

Michigan drivers are paying an average of $55 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline​, according to AAA.​​

MICHIGAN — Gas prices across Michigan jumped 11 cents from last week, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan was $3.69 Monday morning, 11 cents higher than last week and 17 cents more than a month ago, according to AAA.

Michigan drivers are paying an average of $55 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.

Gas prices also jumped in the metro Detroit area, where drivers paid $3.66 Monday morning for a regular gallon of gas, 13 cents higher than last week and 12 cents higher than a month age, according to AAA.

"After dropping slightly early last week, Michigan gas prices saw a spike over the weekend," AAA Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. "If gas demand remains low, alongside an increase in supply, pump prices could possibly reverse course."

The most expensive places to get gas in Michigan are in Jackson ($3.75), Lansing ($3.75) and Benton Harbor ($3.73).

The cheapest places to get gas in Michigan are in Marquette ($3.48), Metro Detroit ($3.64) and Ann Arbor ($3.71).

The national gas price average was at $3.50, just two cents higher than last week, according to AAA.
