"I play Lotto 47 online often and I always had a feeling I would win the jackpot one day," the woman told lottery officials. "I was so excited when I saw the email from the Michigan Lottery notifying me of my $1.72 million jackpot win! I called my son and daughter-in-law to tell them the news, but I had a hard time getting the words out because I was so stunned."

The woman chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.2 million rather than annuity payments for the full amount, according to lottery officials.
