MI Woman Steals Truck, Gets Stuck In Snow At Stranger's Driveway: MSP
The White Cloud woman told troopers the truck she was driving belonged to her father and that she was at her father's house, police said.
MANISTEE COUNTY, MI — A northern Michigan woman was arrested Friday after a stolen truck she was driving got stuck in snow in a stranger's driveway, according to Michigan State Police.
Anna Grace Spaulding, 31, of White Cloud, was charged with one count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle. She was placed in the Lake County Jail on a personal bond. Her next court date is scheduled for Dec. 18.
A homeowner on Peters Farm Road in Irons (roughly 35 miles west of Cadillac) told troopers a woman drove a truck into his driveway at 5 p.m. when the truck got stuck in snow and ice, police said.

The homeowner helped the woman free the truck from the ice and snow, but the woman then backed the truck farther into the driveway and parked directly next to the homeowner's vehicle, police said.
When troopers arrived at the home, the woman (whom troopers identified as Spaulding) told troopers the truck she was driving belonged to her father and that she was at her father’s house, police said.

Troopers then asked medical officials to evaluate Spaulding, police said.
Initially Spaulding cooperated with officials, but then became combative and forced her way out of the ambulance, police said.
As officials were taking Spaulding to a nearby hospital due to her combative nature, Manistee County Central Dispatch told troopers the truck Spaulding was driving was reported stolen out of Lake County, police said.
Police added the truck’s owner left the keys in the ignition, police said.
