Mom, 2 Kids Killed In MI Crash With Semi Truck: Sheriff
Police said the mom was driving a van with her three kids inside and failed to stop at a stop sign when the crash happened.
EATON COUNTY, MI — A mom and two of her children were killed in a Thursday crash in the Lansing area, according to the Eaton County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at the intersection of Mount Hope Highway and Cochran Road in Oneida Township at 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to the sheriff's office.
The mom was driving a van with three of her children inside on westbound Mount Hope Highway Thursday night, according to the sheriff's office.

Police said the mom failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Cochran Road and a semi truck that was moving north smashed into the van.

The third child and the driver of the semi truck were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials did not identify any of the victims in the crash.
The roadway was closed down for hours, but has since reopened.

Police were still investigating the crash.
