After early Monday morning rain showers, skies across southeastern Michigan should open up as temperatures climb toward 70 degrees in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect some cloud cover Monday afternoon across southeastern Michigan, but it shouldn't spoil any chance to see the solar eclipse, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will start sunny and dry across southeastern Michigan before thunderstorms move into the region in the afternoon and evening hours when temperatures hit the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters believe some storms could be severe, as the Storm Prediction Center placed most of southeastern Michigan under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening.

Wednesday should be dry across southeastern Michigan with temperatures reaching the upper 60s before more rain moves into the region during the overnight hours and bleeds over into Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain will stick around southeastern Michigan throughout Thursday with more thunderstorms expected in the afternoon and evening hours when high temperatures hit the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

Another rainmaker moves into southeastern Michigan on Friday with widespread rain showers lasting through the afternoon and evening hours when high temperatures fall down into the 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
