Popular Burger Restaurant Closing All 4 MI Locations

JR's Hometown Grill and Pub is closing all four of its Michigan locations, according to a social media post.

BROOKLYN, MI — A popular burger restaurant is closing all four of its locations in south-central Michigan, according to a social media post.

JR’s Hometown Grill and Pub is closing all four of its restaurants, located in Brooklyn, Milan, Adrian and Tecumseh, according to the post.

Owner Robert Loudermilk said he is closing down the restaurant due to the impact of the COVID-19 closures in 2020, rebuilding staff, increasing costs of operations and decreased sales.

"I am thankful to all the wonderful staff and friends for the support over the years and always tried to be a positive impact on each community we were blessed to be a part of," Loudermilk wrote on social media. "For the last year and a half, I have solely taken upon myself the financial burden of the business. The inability to secure long-term capital has forced this decision on me."

The restaurant was known for its handcrafted burgers, as well as smoked ribs and hand cut its steaks and salmon. It also served a variety of appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches and seafood.
