Popular Italian Restaurant Closes 2 Metro Detroit Locations: Reports

Buca di Beppo​ has closed their only two Michigan locations, according to news reports.

METRO DETROIT — A popular Italian restaurant chain has closed two metro Detroit locations, according to news reports.

The Buca di Beppo restaurants in Livonia and Utica are no longer listed on the chain's website and are permanently closed, according to Google listings

The Livonia restaurant, which was located on 6 Mile Road between Interstate 275 and Haggerty Road for more than 25 years, closed last week, according to a report from The Detroit Free Press.

The Utica location, which was on Hall Road appears to have closed sometime last month, news reports said.

Those were the only two Buca di Beppo locations in all of Michigan, according to the chain's website.

The Italian restaurant was best known for their traditional Italian dishes, including spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccine alfredo and lasagna.

The restaurant chain is also a brand under Florida based Earl Enterprises, which also includes Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy restaurants. Michigan's only Chicken Guy restaurant, which was also in Livonia, closed earlier this month.
