Semi Truck Driver Shot Dead After Violent Fight With MI Police: MSP
The officer involved in the fight suffered minor injuries and was placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation, police said.

ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, MI — A semi truck driver was killed Monday night in southwest Michigan after a violet fight with officers, according to Michigan State Police.
Officers went to check on a semi truck driver in the area of Carronde Park area near Riverbend Drive in St. Joseph Township on Monday evening when the driver rammed into a police cruiser and a nearby home, according to police.
The 42-year-old Tennessee man, who was driving the semi truck, then got out of the vehicle and ran away from officers, according to police.

Police eventually caught the man and a violent fight broke out with officers as they tried to arrest him, according to police.
During the fight, an officer fired a shot, striking the man who was then immediately taken to Corewell Health Spectrum Hospital where he died, according to police.
