Man Fires Shots, Torches Michigan State Police Vehicles: Police
No injuries were reported as no troopers were inside any of the vehicles at the time of the incident, Michigan State Police said.

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI — Michigan State Police are looking for a man who they said fired shots and set multiple police cruisers on fire Wednesday morning in the Upper Peninsula.
Troopers said around 3:30 a.m., a man wearing camouflage set multiple police vehicles on fire and fired rounds from a rifle at the vehicles that were parked at the Sault Ste. Marie post, which is located off the Interstate 75 Business Spur near 3 Mile Road.
The man then drove away from the scene in a silver Honda CRV, police said.

No injuries were reported as no troopers were inside any of the vehicles at the time of the incident, police said.
As of Wednesday morning, troopers were still looking for the man. They did not provide a description but said he is considered armed and dangerous.

Troopers asked people to avoid all Michigan State Police posts, including the Sault Ste. Marie post, and "other MSP worksites" out of an "abundance of caution."
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call 911, or the affected police post at 906-632-2217.
