Woman Gets Stuck In MI Outhouse Toilet Trying To Retrieve Apple Watch: State Police

The woman told troopers she dropped her Apple Watch into the toilet and decided to lower herself inside to retrieve it, but got stuck.

OTSEGO COUNTY, MI — A woman had to be rescued Tuesday from a northern Michigan outhouse toilet after she got stuck trying to retrieve her Apple Watch, which had fallen into the toilet, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers found the woman trapped inside the toilet at 11 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources boat launch at Dixon Lake in the Gaylord area, police said.

Troopers said they could hear the woman yelling for help as they arrived outside the outhouse, police said.

Officials then removed the toilet and used a hoist to safely lift the woman from the toilet, police said.

It was unclear if the woman retrieved her Apple Watch.

Troopers warned the public to not climb into outhouse toilets.

"If you lose an item in an outhouse toilet, do not attempt to venture inside the containment area," troopers warned. "Serious injury may occur."
