• New superintendent chosen for Lapeer County school district (mlive.com) — Almont Community Schools has selected Kyle Wood, currently assistant superintendent at Croswell-Lexington, to become the district’s next superintendent, pending contract negotiations. Wood was chosen from five candidates after community meet-and-greets and interviews, and will succeed Kimberly VanHilten, who steps down June 30. Residents are invited to welcome him as he transitions into the role.
