Ruptured Oakland County Water Main Fixed, But Advisories Remain In Place (patch.com) — Auburn Hills residents are still urged to boil water and limit usage even though the ruptured 42-inch main in River Woods Park has been repaired. Normal pressure may return by Thursday, but safe drinking status could take until late weekend, with water trucks stationed at Auburn Hills DPW and other nearby sites to help affected neighborhoods.

Oakland County water main break leaves restaurants closed, business owners frustrated (fox2detroit.com) — A major water main break has forced Cottage Inn Pizza in Auburn Hills and many other nearby restaurants to close or limit service, costing workers crucial income since Mother’s Day. Auburn Hills officials have now cleared Cottage Inn to restart carryout, while Lake Orion’s Sick Pizza is turning to its food truck to keep employees working and neighbors fed.

Avondale School District Welcomes Next Superintendent Cathy Kochanski (oaklandcounty115.com) — Families in Auburn Hills’ Avondale School District will soon see new leadership, as the Board of Education has offered the superintendent role to Catherine “Cathy” Kochanski, pending contract approval. Kochanski, an experienced Oakland County educator and administrator, is expected to officially begin July 1, 2026, following a community-involved search process.
