• 75 Comerica, Fifth Third branches closing in Michigan: See the final list (freep.com subscription) — A Fifth Third Bank branch at 4491 Interpark in Auburn Hills is among 75 Comerica and Fifth Third locations slated to close across Michigan before early September. While the merger will reduce nearby branches, bank leaders say Auburn Hills and other customers should still gain access to a larger combined network, with many employees reassigned to nearby offices. 
• Bloomfield Township slammed with spate of serious traffic crashes recently, including 2 fatals (theoaklandpress.com) — A recent I-75 crash involved a Toyota Camry driven by a 36-year-old Auburn Hills resident, with one passenger seriously hurt and several people hospitalized. Bloomfield Township police also detailed multiple other serious crashes, including two fatalities, and are urging drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and expect stepped-up traffic enforcement through the summer.
